Lake Havasu Has a Rich Tapestry of Organizations Dedicating to Promoting the Fine Arts

Christine’s Fine Art and More is an art gallery/studio specializing in local, original artwork. Artwork is displayed in an intimate setting that surrounds a full studio and classroom. The gallery showcases art forms including mosaic tiling, sculpture, watercolors, acrylic and oil paintings, pastels, and murals. They also feature classes and workshops. FMI: 928.505.4199

Havasu Area Public Art (HAPA) is a new organization dedicated to encouraging public art in Lake Havasu City. Its first mural “Havasu Car Scene” can be seen on the side of the Dr. Dirt building at 2079 McCulloch Blvd. FMI: 928.486.1458.

Havasu Art Guild includes more than 100 visual artists and artisans. The objective of the Guild is to promote interest in the Arts and provide local students with scholarships. Lake Havasu Unified School District is a strong supporter of the Arts in Lake Havasu City. They believe it is important to expose children to the arts at an early age. Students from elementary through high school have the opportunity to participate in band, choir, dramatics, and visual art experiences. The District also supports the arts by having its Performing Arts Center and Little Theater available for rental to the general public. Lake Havasu City Writers’ Group encourages writers by providing opportunities for its members to develop skills in writing and literary arts. The group works with Mohave Community College to present public forums covering topics of interest to writers.
