It’s winter time. In most parts of the country an inch of snow would seem mundane and
un-newsworthy. But for Havasuvians, it was stop-the-presses, front page news. After all, it hasn’t
snowed in Lake Havasu for nearly 30 years. Winter visitors shrugged as they saw something they
thought was impossible in Havasu. Locals were incredulous! Yes, the close of 2014, December
31st to be precise, will be one of those things we tell our grandkids about! What started as a
cloudy day with weather reports threating flurries soon turned into a morning snowstorm that
amounted to an inch of snow in Havasu, slightly more in the higher elevations. So you don’t
wake up one day and think you were dreaming, here are a few photos submitted by staff and
