The American College of Cardiology (ACC) has recognized HRMC for excellence with two accreditations. The first accreditation is Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI. This accreditation identifies the hospitals excellence in treating patients with heart attack symptoms and having primary PCI available 24/7 every day of the year. The hospital was also
awarded the Cardiac Cath Lab V1 with PCI accreditation. HRMC was the first hospital to receive the distinction in Arizona. The ACC has recognized HRMC for demonstrating expertise and commitment in treating patients who come to a Cardiac Cath Lab for care, including diagnostic catherization and PCI.
The accreditation was awarded based on a rigorous onsite evaluation of the staff’s ability to evaluate diagnosis and treat patients who come into HRMC. “As a result of both accreditations we have standardized our assessment process to ensure quality and patient safety. Continually, there is new research that translates into improved methods of caring for patients to stay abreast of these changes in order to improve patient outcomes. Since the accreditation we have reduced variances of care, increased efficiency and improved patient outcomes, including fewer readmissions and shorter hospital stays. A team approach focuses on efficient and effective care starting in the prehospital setting, throughout the hospital stay and continues on with follow up months after your hospital visit. We are committed to providing the entire region with excellent heart care,” states Jones.
