Photographing wildlife isn’t easy. In many instances, the photo opportunities are nothing more than happenstance. And if you do stumble upon the perfect wildlife shot, they aren’t likely to cooperate and pose for the photo. It takes a keen eye and a sense of urgency to capture the perfect photo.
Kelli-Jo, originally from Slatington, Pennsylvania, moved to Havasu in May of 2014 with her husband, Ozzy Fidan. Employed by Southwest Surgery, Kelli-Jo has always had a keen interest in what she calls street photography; chance encounters in random public places. “I have always been interested in photography, having done portrait and sport imaging back in Pennsylvania. My favorite style of photography is landscapes and animals.”
As far as the photo is concerned, Kelli-Jo used a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTI 400D with F/5.6, 1/250 second, and ISO 250 settings with a 250 mm lens. The picture was taken on 8/11/15 @ 7:41pm at her apartment parking lot. The roadrunner’s name is FANDANGO and he lives in the bushes at her complex.
