Women in Business—what does the phrase mean to you? To Lake Havasu Living Magazine, it means a group of outstanding and hardworking women, dedicated to expanding their own lives while making our town strong and diverse. Many of these women lead double lives, juggling work and family—and this doesn’t include their social lives. Encompassing the traits of true leaders, these women also give today’s youth an inspirational model to look up to.
It hasn’t been an easy road for women to attain the position they now have in today’s workforce, and they still have to push just a little more, a little harder, to get the same recognition most men get. Of course, that’s not necessarily the case here in Havasu. We embrace these entrepreneurs, business owners, managers, CEOs, and employers. The 1920s was the time of the self-made man, and now is the time of the self-made woman. Havasu’s women are proof of that.
So, the next time you’re out and you run into one of these amazing women, let them know how much their hard work means to you. Thank them for creating an environment that is a force to be reckoned with, a community that is both vibrant and secure, and for opening the door for other women to follow their dreams and become successful.
